with matchng turned stretcher, all with gilt and ebonized trim, in original
varnish finish. 45" x

Ornate Carved Tall Case Clock
With Carved Figures |
Very impressive clock in
mahogany with floral carved crest and cove molded top, bonnet with acanthus
carved leaves and ogee half columns with Old Man of the Mountain masks and
acanthus leaf carving. Open waist has carved columns with semi-nude man and
woman, with back panel having nice all-over floral scroll carving. Base with
carved cove molding at top and bottom and carved and turned bun feet. Brass
dial and brass 8-day weight driven works, likely German with time, strike and
chimes, exposed pendulum, all in original varnish finish. 22 3/4" x 13 1/2" x 80
1/2" high. |

Unusual George III Corner
Washstand |
Circa 1790-1800 in mahogany with
a most unusual hinged flip-up dovetailed splash-back. When closed the piece
has a flat top, when open it has a cut-out for wash bowl with a Chinese
Export 16" diameter bowl with the piece, and a brass knob on right side
that is turned to release support for back. The bow front base has two doors
with satinwood string inaid edges, over a central dovetailed drawer, flanked
by two false drawers, all with string inlaid edges and original stamped brass
pulls, over a scroll cut lower shelf with French feet. 26" deep x 38" wide x
32" high when closed and 58" high when open. |
Refinished and a couple of small
repairs, Very Good. |

In mahogany in Rhode Island
style with top having carved goose-neck pediment with Prince of Wales Feather
finial, three drawers with central being shell carved, over 3 graduated
drawers with applied cock-beaded edging, pierced brass back-plates in the Chinese
style with brass bale handles. Base with gadrooned top molding with three
graduated drawers, the top one of which has shell carving at each end, palm
leaf ogee carved apron and ball and claw feet. Interior of drawer branded
"Charak Furniture Co. Bostn, Mass." 44 1/2" x 22 1/2" x 89"

Two piece, circa 1860-70, with
highly ornate carving throughout. Top section with revolving (lazy-susan)
type door for storage and four open shelves, all with mirrored back and
pierced and scroll carved aprons. Base with colorful shaped marble top over matching
revolving storage door and one full length shelf and two smaller shelves,
with mirrored back, legs with beautifully carved scrolled cabriol legs on
casters, in original finish. Poplar wood back panels. 54" x 21" x 78 1/2"

Made for statury, candle or
plant in mahogany with gilt and ebonized trim. The stepped circular top is 9
1/2" diameter over three columns, each topped with a carved and gilt
Egyptian Sphinx, with brass chains in swags hanging between. Columns are attached
at top to an ornately turned support for the platform/top at the top and at
the base to an equally nicely turned support where the three columns turn
into cabriol legs. All in original gilt and ebonized trim. Circa 1880. 37 1/4" high. |

Lamp Table |
Fully carved with four legs in
the form of a women in acrobats outfits with upraised arms as if holding the
quartfoil top aloft. They are standing atop acanthus carved plinth form feet.
Ornate scroll-cut and carved arching "X" form stretchers with
carved urn finial. The corners of the top have nice relief carved floral
scroll work with stepped thumb molded edges, all in original finish. 30" diameter and high. |
