#2 Study for library mural Sept. 3, 1934," lower left. Cameron Booth was an American
Landscape painter and art teacher in New York City and Minneapolis,
Minnesota. He studied at the Art
Students League of Chicago, with Andre L'Hope in Paris and Hans Hofmann in
Munich. He taught at the Art
Students League in New York City from 1944 - 1948, and 1948 - 1954. From 1948 to 1960 he taught at the
Minneapolis School of Art. |

Amick was born in Canon City, Colorado. He became a well known illustrator of Western subjects, a painter,
printmaker, commercial artist, and teacher. He grew up in the cattle country of
Colorado among the Ute and Sioux Indians, cowboys, prospectors and
homesteaders. He earned a law
degree from Yale University while also taking art classes. His Western scenes of brilliantly
colored landscapes with horses and riders became quite popular. |

watercolor, "Hommage to Picasso." Signed, "Elmyr" lower
right. Elmyr De Hory was born in
Budapest, Hungary. He studied at
The Akademie Heinmann Art School in Munich under Fernand Leger. Later he moved to Paris and, unable to
make a living as an artist, found that he had the ability to copy the works
of noted painters such as Picasso, Matisse, Modigliani, and Renoir. During his career he claimed to have
sold over a thousand forgeries to art galleries all over the world. His forgeries gained fame from the
Clifford Irving book "Fake!", and from a documentary film by Orson
Welles called, "F for Fake." De Hory often referred to himself as "Famously Infamous" and
he enjoyed his time in the spotlight. |

"Toulgouat" and dated '87 lower right. Labeled on verso. Jean Marie Toulgouat was born in
Giverny, and was the last remaining link to Claude Monet. He was the grandson of American
Post-Impressionist painter, Theodore Butler, and Suzanne (nee Hoschede), the
daughter of Claude Monet's second wife, Alice. Toulgouat spent his childhood years in
Monet's house where he was taught to paint by Blanche Hoschede Monet, who had
been Monet's only pupil and an establbished artist in her own right. He studied architecture, base in
Paris, as a landscape artist designing municipal parks and gardens. In 1966 he decided to concentrate on
his painting, returning to his home in Giverny to produce abstracts of trees,
flowers and gardens. He has had
several one-man exhibitions in France, Holland, the United States, and
Britain. Toulgouat had
bi-annual exhibitions in London at the Francis Kyle Gallery from 1985 to
2003. He was involved in the
restoration of Monet's house and gardens in the 1970's. Despite a long series of illnesses, he
