central oval chromolithograph of a Victorian Lady with surrounding stamped
and blackened inscription reading "Hoffritz & Keyer/Manufacturers
of/Cigar Boxes/Dayton, Ohio" with surrounding stmaped and blackened
scroll work, the display has a small box on top labeled "Matches"
and drawer below with brass handle with burled wood grained paper covering.
The top shelf has two square recessed openings for containers for used
matches, now missing, circa 1890, 5 x 8 1/2 x 10 1/4" high. |
Over-all wear to paper covering
on lower section and portrait, some chips to wood, still an untouched early
piece. |
