Early German Santa Figure |
Composition, painted felt, fur
and woven basket. Delightful figure of Santa in red hooded coat with white
trim, with painted white blotches of snow with glitter, blue painted pants
and molded boots. He has a miniature woven basket on his back, and white fur
beard, flesh tone painted face and hands with red mouth and blue eyes. Coat
has green cotton lining. 6" high, unmarked. |

Rare Cast Iron Baseball Figural
Andirons |
A great pair of American circa
late 19th to early 20th century baseball andirons of a batter holding the bat
and the pitcher holding the ball. Both are in near excellent original paint. Both are stamped,
"R.B.S.". Very hard to
find in this conditon. |

Early Bakers, Newport, KY Baseball Game |
In chromolithographed card
stock, wood and cast iron with printed makers label behind home plate reading
"Baker's Ball Game/For Men & Boys/Pat. Applied For/Manufactured
By/W.J. Baker Co./Newport, Ky." The figured include a pitcher, batter and
catcher, all in polychrome painted cast iron and operated by spring loading.
When the leaver at base of pitcher and batter are pressed the pitcher hurls
the ball, the batter swings his bat and the catcher tilts a basket to catch
the ball, if it passes the batter. In the outfield on the card stock walls of
the park/game are chromolithographed figures of outfielders wearing
Cincinnati Reds uniforms, circa erly 20th century, 26 1/2" square x
5" high walls with figures 3 1/2" high. |

wooden pull, scribed cock-beaded edge on front apron, gracefully turned legs,

remants of old red washed finish, likely Pleasant Hill, Kentucky, pine
secondary wood, 28 1/4 x 45 x 26 1/2" high. The underside of the top
shows wear typical of sewing bird clamps in several places. |
