240 EARLY OIL PAINTING ON TIN SIGNED "ASTAUE"  Very well done 7 1/2" x 6 1/4" oil painting of mother undressing child with dog at their side.  Signed lower right "Astaue".  Small areas of paint loss; otherwise, very good condition.  EST. $200. - $400.
241 THOMAS CORWIN LINDSAY OIL PAINTING (American 1845 - 1907) Cincinnati, Ohio, 17" x 12", oil on board landscape.  Signed lower right "Lindsay".  Thomas Corwin Lindsay, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, was a well known painter of landscapes, animal subjects, and occasional portraits.  He was a founding member of the Cincinnati Art Club.  He exhibited at the Cincinnati Industrial Exposition from 1870-83, Pogue's in 1875 and the Art Institute of Chicago, IL in 1896.  His work is in the collection of the Cincinnati Art Museum.  Listed in Samuels, Who Was Who in American Art, Davenports, etc. Fine condition.  EST.  $1,500. - $2,500.  
242 JOHN HAUSER LANDSCAPE WATERCOLOR (American 1859 - 1918) Cincinnati, Ohio. 9" x 19" watercolor of landscape with cattle. Signed lower right "John Hauser, Eoldfestein '97". John Hauser was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and before the age of fifteen, studied at the Ohio Mechanic's Institute and at the Cincinnati Art Association. He became the pupil of Thomas A. Noble at the McMicken Art School in 1873. He traveled to Arizona and New Mexico in 1891, and was drawn to the scenery and the Indians. He continued to make visits to reservations where he painted Indian figures, genre and animals. Hauser was officially adopted into the Sioux nation in 1901 and was given the name "Straight White Shield". Listed in Dowdy, Mallett, Samuels, Who Was Who in American Art, Davenports, etc. Important painter. Fine condition. EST. $700. - $1,500.

246 EARLY SILK NEEDLEWORK OF TWO WOMEN AND CHICKENS 11 1/4" x 11 1/4" early needlework on silk with kneeling woman with blue bonnet feeding chickens and birds including large caged chicken, also young girl holding bird, both under a weeping willow tree.  Ca. 1800-1820.  Frame 15 1/2" x 15 1/2".  Excellent condition.  EST. $1,000. - $2,000.

251 HENRY BAYLEY SNELL OIL PAINTING OF SCHOONER Henry Bayley Snell (1858-1943) New Hope, Pa. 11" x 13" oil on canvas of schooner docked in harbor. Snell was a very well known impressionist painter and was associated with the New Hope Impressionist School. He painted harbor scenes of Gloucester, Mass. and Boothbay Harbor, Maine, where he co-founded a second art school in 1921. A very well listed artist. Paint flakes at bottom edge and lacking stretcher. EST. $1,000. - $3,000.

HAMMELL OIL PAINTING   (American 1825 - 1900) Cincinnati & Waynesville, OH, portrait painting of man, 30" x 25" oil on canvas.  Signed middle right above shoulder.  The son of tavern keeper and surveyor Enoch Hammell, A. H. became a fine portrait painter working in Cincinnati and Waynesville, Ohio.  His many awards include The Cincinnati Fireman's Fair 1845, Western Union of Art Show 1847 & 1848, Ohio Mechanic's Institution 1858, Cincinnati Artists Association 1871, 1872 & 1873.  He is listed in Who Was Who in American Art and Artists in Ohio.  A fine portrait painting in original frame.  Relined.  Fine condition.  EST.  $1,000. - $1,500.

268 OLD PARIS PORCELAIN 2 PIECE CLOCK  Old Paris porcelain clock, ca. 1850.  Fabulous Old Paris case clock with leaf and floral molded designs with painted floral panels on front and sides and overall gold floral highlights sitting on matching base with molded scrolls and gold floral highlights.  Brass key wind spring works with porcelain dial.  Base signed "V. W." in dark blue.   One of the best of Old Paris porcelain.  Back cover missing to clock only.  All porcelain in excellent condition.  Overall height 20 1/2", clock 17" h.  9" w.  6" d., base 3 1/2" h.  13" w.  8" d.   EST.  $1,000. - $3,000.
269 MAHOGANY CARVED MANTLE CLOCK  Fancy carved mahogany case with carved columns on corners and floral designs with dome top with finials.  Brass key wind spring works marked "H. & H. 270 EARLY CHERRY TWO PIECE JACKSON PRESS Cherry two piece Jackson Press, Tennessee Valley, Ca., 1845.  Turned columns with double panel doors with two drawers at base of top and one large drawer and two doors with turned columns and turned feet on base.  Cherry with poplar sides and poplar secondary wood.  Top and bottom with dovetailed case.  Nicely refinished.  Fine condition. 44" w. x 18" d. x 98" h. 275 MASONIC FOLK ART SHELF Great detailed carved shelf with applied symbols including compass, stars and moon, wood working tools, hour glass and columns on each side with label on back marked "William Sibley born October 11, 1825 and died January 9th, 1904.  William Sibley was a carpenter in the Worcester, Mass area".  Ash wood on back with all walnut applied carving.  Super folk art Masonic piece.  Excellent condition.  25" h.  13 1/2" w.  EST.  $150.-$350.
