290 Patriotic Silk Bunting From Red Men Lodge Patriotic Silk Bunting From Red Men Lodge Re+I265d, white and blue silk banner with 32 blue 5 pointed stars sewn on white canton in six row of five over row of 32, 32 stars, with white ribbon banner across top with WINAMAC TRIBE/No. 279 I.O.R.M., mounted on wood pole with brass ends, 57 x 94". This order was founded in 1813 and the stars on the banner likely represent the number of states in the Union when this lodge was founded, being 32 or 1858. Some fading, stains and a few minor small holes, still Very Good. 100 300

Half length portrait of young soldier wearing kepi, shell jacket and holding revolver in right hand, 14 x 17" in period gold leaf frame, 20 1/4 x 23 1/4". There was a Eugene A. Tyler in the 109th New York Volunteer Infantry who was wounded at Spotsylvania Court House on May 12th 1864 and died of his wounds on June 3rd, 1864. Toning & damp stains. 200 400

302 General Ripley Snuff Box General Ripley Snuff Box Polychrome painted tin with hinged domed lid with should length uniformed profile portrait, with General above and Ripley below, 3 1/4 x 1 7/8 x 1 1/8" high, circa 1815. General Eleazer Wheelock Ripley (1782-1839) was a U.S. Brigadier General during the War of 1812 and was awarded a Congressional Gold Medal for his actions at the battle of Lundy Lane and later engagements, later was U.S. Representative from Louisiana until his death in 1839. The town of Ripley, Ohio in Brown County changed its name from Staunton to Ripley in his honor, also Ft. Ripley in Mn. is named after him. Paint circ 96%, else Fine. 100 200
