Depicting a Baccanal procession
with man astride an ass, both with grape wreaths, around his head and the
asses neck being lead by nearly nude younger male attendant with lightly
draped young lady lying on the ground feeding the ass grapes from a basket at
her side, a cheribum is playing with the asses tail, on an oval base with
gilt highlights, all beautifully hand painted, either late 18th or early 19th
century, marked with blue underglaze crossed swprd mark and incistef number
2724, 8 x 4 1/2 x 8 inches high. |

The back of the chair in which
she is seated is broken off but present, dog is missing part of its tail, she
has been glued at shoulder and her portrait is glued just below painting. |
