Server, circa 1830 with
rectangular one board top, over shelf, over single dovetailed bowfront drawer
with baluster turned columns and legs, brass knob. The interior face of
drawer has been cut away to lighten and front has burl cherry veneer, poplar
secondary wood. Pencil inscriptions on drawer sides, hard to read and inked
over pencil inscription on drawer base reading "Minerva Jones Page June
1858/trat Love I have bear in mind/to you/Carre into my possession
from/Oliver Page Ellsberry Aug 1918/Bessie Page Huston". Second earlier
pencil inscription below reading "Molly you will please to receive this
a small present as a token of/the love and esteem/I have for you/Nancy
Page/Aug. 29/1839". In old refinish with good color, 10 x 12 3/4 x
13" high. |

original 34 x 40" Burton frame with dovetail type construction and
