FIGURAL JEWELERS TRADE SIGN |
In turned wood with original
gilt and painted finish, each face of the pocket watch has “H.A. Horman
Jeweler” with the painted watch dial, with old over varnish finish, 16”
diameter x 25” high, in wonderful old weathered patina. This trade sign was
purchased in Germantown, Ohio from the old Horman Jewelry store, just south
of the bank. They had an auction of the store contents in 1971. |

OHIO WOODEN WATER PUMP |
In original polychrome hand
painted decoration with stenciled label at top reading “Consolidated Pump
Co./XXX/Toledo/Ohio/H.S. Conover/Franklin Ohio/No. 1”, 5.75” square x 84”
high with 32” pump handle. This pump was found as dead stock in the Franklin,
Ohio hardware store on label, circa 1880 and near mint, lacks a few of the
exterior mounted metal parts. |

A truly wonderful set of hand
carved mahogany chairs with 2 arm and 4 side. Yoke crests carved with shell
floral and scroll with drop tassel extending into splats, balloon form seats
with slip seats, cabriole legs with shell and scroll carved knees and claw
and ball feet. The arms have lovely carved phoenix head terminals. Seat
height is 18” x 20” wide x 17” deep x 39” high, all in nice rich color. |
