Silver necklace with old turquoise and coral beads and complete with silver charms and lock shaped pendant in embossed work with floral work and Chinese characters reading "First Grade Scholars". Marshall Field & Co. apparently sold this necklace in the late 1970's. Accompanied with letter of antiquity stating necklace was made in the later part of the Ching Dynasty, from 1800 to 1860. Good condition. |
