Circa 1840, all original with fine old patina, broken arch top bonnet with inlaid circles on rosettes with hinged door and full turned columns. Waist with fine overlapping door with oval burl inlaid panel with satinwood string inlay surround, base with nice scroll cut base. Painted wooden dial signed "Luman Watson Cincinnati" with Roman numerals and second hand dial below. 30-hour wooden works with original Japanese tin can weights and pendulum. Two small repairs to waist door, minor crazing on dial, lacks pendulum rod, otherwise good condition. 9" x 18" x 95" high. |
