In original black thermal
plastic case, made like a ships clock but marked on black finished steel dial
“U.S. Army/Clock Message Center, M2”, brass time only spring driven movement,
mounted in original oak hinged lid case with clip on interior holding brass
key, with serial number stamped on case “627361”, and original leather
carrying strap, 10.3 x 9.5 x 5.75”, closed in case. Likely WWII era. |

the beginning and ending of a toll telephone call. |

brass movement which has three winding holes in dial, 21 x 17.5”. |

Very similar to the Gingerbread
clock in Tran Duy Ly’s book on ST clocks, but not in books. This clock has
attached Minerva head in crests, flanked by ormolu brass rosettes and scrolls
with inset brass & glass spirit level just above lower drop. Original
painted tablet. Printed paper over tin dial with brass surrounds and brass
alarm wheel in center. Dial marked “S.T.” Brass time, strike and alarm spring
driven 8-day movement, with original pendulum & key, 30 x 14.5 x 4”. |
