46 WALDER SANDBERG (DETROIT) WOOD CARVER LAMP Walder Sandberg (Detroit, Michigan, 1881-1968) carved walnut lamp with cattails on post and detailed swans on bottom corners.  Walder Sandberg wood carver, immigrated from Sweden and settled in Detroit.  He was a noted local wood carver and cabinet maker, with his work represented in the Henry Ford Museum Collections.  Descended from the family.  Accompanied with a copied photo of Walder Sandberg & his wife.  Good condition.  Overall height 24". 100 300

53 1835 HANNA DAVIS DECORATED PAPER BAND BOX A wonderful box with quail decorated paper over wood.  Has label inside lid, warranted nailed band, boxes made by Hannah Davis, Jeffrey, NH.  Davis was a well known New England band box maker who lived from 1785-1863 and this appears to be one of her more colorful boxes.  Has newspaper in lid and The Troy Whig, which appears to be dated 1835.  Replaced 1892 newspaper in base of bottom.  Some rim damage to lid and one small break to top edge of bottom.  8 3/4" h x 16 1/2" x 13" lid. 300 600
54 GREAT 19TH CENTURY AMERICAN DIVIDED DOCUMENT BOX Circa 1830 mahogany box resting on small turned feet.  Inside is divided and has early wallpaper.  The initials "LE" is stenciled on the back.  Veneer chip at lower front and side.  9 1/2" h x 16" w x 12" d. 200 300

BIBLE W/WATERCOLOR BOOKPLATE Leather bound Bible published in Lancaster, PA. by Johann Bor in 1829 with watercolor bookplate of birds and tulips with the name "Jacob Kratz 1827" (probably a birth record).  Loss of clasps and some loss at edges of first two pages, otherwise fine condition.  7 1/4" x 4 1/4". 300 500
