needlework sampler with alphabet, house, trees, birds and flowers. "Phebe Ann Lindsley was born July
17th. 18-- worked this sampler AD 1840". Partial stitching removed from the
last two digits of the year of birth. Family legend states the maker removed these two digits from all her
