Klatt was born in Germany in 1861 and immigrated to the United States about
1879. He settled in Chicago,
Illinois and later became associated with Nathan Newfeld, a Chicago dealer in
pictures and frames. He is also
known to have procuced, "Lightening" paintings (paintings done with
great speed) at the New Orleans State Fair. He died on December 21, 1934. |
