(Ohio/California 1899-1956) 24" x 20" oil on canvas, titled
Seagulls Domain. Signed lower right, Frank Myers, in orginal gold 28" x
24" frame. Frank Myers was best known for his coastal scenes, of which
this painting is a good example of his work. He studied with Frank Duvaneck
and John Weis. His works are held in many museums and institutions including
The National Museum of American Art, University of Cincinnati, Museum of New
Mexico, Museum of San Diego, Smithsonian and others. |

Whittier, signed lower left, Jeanette W. McMullin and dated 1920. Matted and
framed 19" x 19", with exhibition label on verso from Marblehead
Art Association and inked autograph with title of work. McMullin enrolled in
the Cooper union in New York and studied under artists such as Wyatt Eaton,
John H. Twachtman, and others. McMullin moved to Boston and began exhibiting
in the Boston Art Club in 1903 with colleages such as Charles Eaton, Edmund
Tarbell, Clark Vorhees, Walter Granville Smith, and others. |
