Signed "Anton Lang" in script and "R.K." on side of base. Anton Lang was a German studio potter and an actor in the cast of the Oberammergau Passion Plays early in the 20th century. Lang would occasionally throw pottery when the cast passed through a pottery center such as Cincinnati. His pottery is fairly scarce and highly valued for its artistic quality.
