1920's PETERS AMMUNITION WINDOW DISPLAY SIGN WITH ORIGINAL BOX |
A wonderful unused five panel stand-up cardboard sign for the Peters Cartridge Co., Kings Mills, OH. The sign still retains its original bright vivid colors from being hid away in its original box for all these years. It depicts a different type of Peters Ammunition on each panel. The center panel depicts a duck hunter with High Velocity shotgun shells. The first left panel has children with a squirrel at top and .22 rifle cartridges. The second left panel includes a policeman with villain at top and Peters .38 bullets. The first right panel has hunters with quail at top and Victor shotgun shell box. The second right panel also has hunters with a ram and target at top advertising 30 Gout '06 bullets. Foxing and spot in Peters at top and small water spot in second right panel; otherwise, great condition. Also included is the original box with original wax paper and 12¢ Cleveland Stamp (Issued in 1923) with Kings Mills, Ohio post stamp. A great unused Cincinnati Advertising Sign. 32" h x 59" w.

Stamped on the bottom of the bowl and base "Wheeling Pottery Co." in a wreath. It has Coca-Cola embossed on both sides of bowl and other embossed designs as it should. The fruit and yellow paint appears to have been added at the factory as it was probably a second and was going to be used to distribute another product. Lid and spigot missing. Line in base. A few minor chips at inside top rim and two small chips at base of top. The white glaze is still bright and not much brown discoloring, as there usually is. A great Coca-Cola item. 18" h x 9 1/2" w.
