original varnish finish, carved scroll cut crest with applied rosettes,
reeded door with applied rosettes and stepped cove molded base, original
printed paper label on back with directions and partial printed paper label
above from retailer. Double dial with painted Roman numerals and Waterbury
mark above and calendar dial below with Arabic numerals, marked Waterbury
Clock Co./U.S.A./Patented July 30th, 1889. with day of week and month
revolving cylinder, original pendulum and key with brass 8-day spring driven
time, strike and date movement, 14 1/4 x 4 1/4 x 25" high. Fine. |

In highly figured mahogany case
with stepped ogee crest with original tin box pully caps, over two doors,
upper o which has original mirrored tablet and lower with original polychrome
painted country estate scene, upper flanked by tapered hollow columns with
turned capitals and plinths, through which the weights descend, lower door
flanked by ogee plinths, original cleaned varnish finish. Painted tin dial
with Roman numerals and painted blue roses in spandrels, open escapement.
Brass weight driven time & strike movement with original weights,
pendulum and key. Interior with printed paper label reading in part H. Welton
& Co./Successors o Eli Terry & Co./Terryville, Conn., old jewelers
repair label on reverse, 19 x 6 x 28 1/4" high. Some paint loss to lower tablet, else

E.N. Welch Mfg Co. Forestville, Conn. With carved walnut case with scroll cut
arched top with applied turnings and rosettes, arched door with original
silvered glass tablet with musical figures, stepped ogee base, in original
varnish finish, dial with painted Roman numerals, and open escapement with
alarm ring in center, brass spring driven 8-day time, strike and alarm
movement with original brass and glass pendulum and key, marked on movement,
14 x 4 3/4 x 21" high; and a New Haven clock in walnut, also in original
varnish finish with Eastlake style carved crest with shamrocks, peaked reeded
door with original polychrome painted glass tablet, base with canted scroll
cut-out feet. Dial paper over tin with Arabic numerals, 8-day brass spring
driven time and strike movement with original brass pendulum with 0-100
markings and marked Pat'd MCH. 1st 1881, 10 3/4 x 4 x 21" high. Both fine. |
