length 36 1/4"; 2nd engraved J.K. Loyacanu Feb. 20, 1896, mounted on
exotic hardwood tapered shaft with 1/2" nickle ferrule, total length

Fine 19th Century Dagger Cane |
With 5" high L shaped
molded horn handle inlaid with MOP and coin silver escutcheon plate, with
gold filled engraved collar with hidden push bottom release that allows the
11 1/2" tapered double edged dagger to be withdrawn. Dagger decorated with
blue scroll work. Scabbard/shaft in tapered malacca with worn original red
finish and steel ferrule, total length 34 1/2". Minor wear to finish on shaft, else

crook handled GAR cane with case Grand Army of the Republic symbol on front

1 1/4" high coin silver knob, marked W.M., mounted on a tapered ebony
shaft with brass ferrule, total length 33"; and a cane with stag antler
L shaped handle with marked Sterling end cap and collar, each with chased
scroll work, mounted on knobby hardwood tapered shaft in original worn red
washed finish with old but replaced nickel ferrule, total length

Lot of two, including a sword
vane with brass lion mask cap on horn handle with carved bone below, brass
collar which turns to opens to reveal a single edges 24 3/4" long steel
blade with 3/4 length fuller, with sabbard/shaft in carved ebonized hardwood
with brass and steel ferrule, total length 36 1/4" long; and a mid 19th
century cane with pistol grip horn handle, copper collar, mounted on a
tapered cane shaft in original varnish finish with rubber ferrule, total

St. John's Ambulance Brigade

With 2" long marked
Sterling knob with embossed coat of arms of St. John's Ambulance Brigade,
Birmingham hallmarks with date letter of 1917 and makers mark of MB, likely
used during WWI, mounted on a tapered ebony shaft with hallmarked Sterling
ferrule, total length 30 1/2". St. John's Ambulance Brigade was founded
in England in 1877 with branches all over the world dedicated to providing
ambulance services to the public and first aid. During WWI the Brigade
provided important front line service in France and additional work back in
Great Britain. Fine. |
