Three piece in Sevres style with
enameled porcelain dial with Arabic numerals, brass time & strike spring
driven movement marked with "A1" in oval over
"1029/27441" with original pendulum & key. Mounted in cobalt
blue painted porcelain case with hand painted scene of courting couple in
garden setting with large country manor house in background. Highlighted with
hand painted gilt floral on sides and top of case. The case has cast bronze
floral scrolled feet and pediment. Includes marching porcelain urns with cast
bronze mounts and polychrome painted lady in garden setting on one and
gentleman on the other. All figures are in 18th century style dress. Case is
9 1/2 x 4 x 10 3/4" high and urns are 10 1/2" high. |

Unmarked likely French or Swiss,
circa 1840 with key wind spring driven movement, when operated the lid flips
open and the real feathered bird flips up from an open work floral engraved
brass cover and flaps its wings, opens its beak and turns and sings. All
mounted in an inlaid oysterwood case, 4 1/4 x 2 3/4 x 1 3/4"high when
closed and 3 1/4" open. |

reading Trade/Thomas A. Edison/Mark/Triumph", horn is 24" diameter

The wood in original red wash
and gold stenciled lettering, obilisk form on a square base that has a spring
driven clock works inside that revolves the obilisk mounted above. Each panel
of the obilisk has metal tabs for holding 8 different models of Hohner
harmonicas along with prices from 50 cents to $2.50. The peak of obilisk has
text on each face including "Over/10,000,000/Sold Annually";
"Over 64 Years/The Standard";
"Assured/Absolute/Satisfaction"; & By/Far The/Best Made/Made In
Germany" . Just below is "Hohner/Harmonicas" on each panel.
Base has fixed crank on side, 11" square x 5" high, total height is

in original old red finish, with printed paper dial over tin with Seth Thomas

circular bevel has cast high relief "Jolly Tar Pastime Old Honesty Plank
Road.", while the two small rosettes below read "Five/Bros"
& "Boot Jack", brand names of different tobacco products. The
lower tablet frame has "Complements of John Finzer & Bro's" and
original tablet in black and gilt reads "Tobacco Man'f'r's Louisville,
Ky." The clock movement is by Seth Thomas, brass eight day time only
spring driven with original pendulum. Lower case has interior printed paper
