Ohio in 1896 and later moved to New York and eventually settled in
Londonderry, Vermont. |

19th century in two part ornately pierce
carved teak case with enamel painted domed dial with Roman numerals, set in
brass bevel on floral scroll engraved back-plate that is signed with Chinese
characters above dial, sides have glass windows for viewing the brass spring
driven time and strike works that have two top mounted bells and are also
signed on back-plate, all in original finish, lacking key. |

With satinwood string inlay, in original finish, arched top
with brass carrying handle at top, bracket base set on brass ball feet,
silvered dial with Roman numerals. Brass eight day spring driven time and
strike unsigned works with unusually large, (6.25”) brass bell, 10.75 x 6.75
x 16.5”high. |
