back. Family states lady in painting
is Sarah Trombly on the river bank of Niantic, Connecticut. Roger Dennis born in Norwich, CT. has been
considered one of Connecticut's premier impressionist painters. He worked with many of the Lyme Colony
artists and served on the Exhibition Committee for many years. He studied with James McManus, Allen
Cochran, and Emile Gruppe. Like many
of the old Lyme impressionist he painted the local landscape at different
times of the day and different seasons of the year. Well listed artist. Fine condition. |
