Herman Henry Wessel (Cincinnati, Ohio, 1878-1969) 20" x 24" oil on canvas still life painting. Signed on back with initials "H.H.W.". He enrolled in the Cincinnati Art Academy in 1896 and studied with Frank Duveneck. In 1908, he began his 40 year teaching career at the Cincinnati Art Academy. Great Cincinnati artist. Listed in Davenports, Fieldings, Who's Who, etc. Fine condition. EST. $500. - $1000. |
