backboard reading, "The work
of Mrs. Draper's Mother/Mrs. Irene (Guernsey) Rowley./Done about 1825. Irena,
wife of Philo Guernsey, born: Feb. 3, 1765, Litchfield, Conn; d. 1853,
Tompkins Co. NY. She was the daughter of Rev. Noah Murray & Mary Stowe.
Rev. Noah Murray was the first preacher of United Salism in Bradford Co.,
Connecticut." |
