185 GREAT LOUWELSA WELLER POTTERY INDIAN CHIEF VASE A wonderful well done Louwelsa Weller vase with hand painted portrait of Indian Chief.  Artist signed "JB" for John Butterworth, who was known for his Indian portraits.  A fine example and one of the best Indian portraits we have seen.  Marked "Louwelsa Weller" on the base.  Crazing and glaze skips at rim, otherwise fine condition.  12" h. 1000 2000
186 LARGE LOUWELSA WELLER VASE W/DOG PORTRAIT Signed "E. Blake" at base.  Impressed mark on bottom.  Tiny glaze flake at rim and glaze imperfections on dog, otherwise no damage.  15" h x 38" circum. 500 1000
