of pearl and brass inlay on case with ebonized thumb molded edges. Tune
indicator with Chinese characters. A very rare music box! 17" H x

Co., Cincinnati, Ohio. Beautifully carved figural hall stand with
center mirror flanked with naturalistic branches, leaves and acorns, and a
stag head crest over a serpentine marble top with cast iron shell design drip
pans below openings, on cabriole supports and serpentine front with carved
ornament, also flanked by more branches, leaves, acorns and fine carvings,

long cylinders housed in two drawers in cabinet. The mahogany box has
marquetry inlay on lid and front, with musical instruments, bird, and floral
scrollwork with surrounding cross-banding and string inlay that matches the
cabinet. Interior with matching inlay in reverse painted mountain
landscape with resort hotel, lake and city.14 3/4" x 9" silvered
engraved plate on interior lid reading in part, "Manufactory of musical
boxes/Samuel Troll Fils, 6 Rue Borivard Geneva/ Mandeline Bass and
Piccolo," with engraved list for each cylindar having titles of all six
